We create original garments a client can wear with confidence
knowing another woman will not appear in a duplicate. Design
comes before fabric selection, as a great design will work in
several fabrics. We can create any design imaginable with our
flat pattern and draping skills, so you do not need to find a
commercial sewing pattern.
If you know what you want, you can describe the desired garment
or show us a photograph. If you don't know what you want, we
can suggest flattering designs specific to your body. In our studio,
we have current copies of Collezioni (designer runway
collections) for you to browse. Other good sources of inspiration
can be found at style.com. Still other clients are inspired by
vintage photographs.

This is a vintage 1920 Madeleine Vionnet
design. The gown is composed of 157 velvet
squares hung on the bias, seams are
hand-couched with gold metallic thread. This
authorized remake will be on exhibit at various
museums throughout North America during
2011 and 2012.
